He was a little more than half a mile outside of the last dredges of civilization, when he spotted it.
Adrien Agreste was known for running off in the middle of the night, shrouded in dark clothes, hood pulled up to hide the tell-tale blond hair and bright eyes from any passers by. In all his ventures, though, he could never recall seeing this. Such an oddity, in the middle of a barren stretch of land that he barely saw as he moved through the night - it was a stage.
The curtains remained closed, barely rustling in the slightest breeze offered by the night, and Adrien pushed back the hood from his mess of hair to take in the sight. Bright lights lined the front of the curved-out stage, but the mystery lay in that they were on. As if waiting for a captive audience.
And he stepped closer.
& the show was , indeed , seeking a captiveaudience as it stood in silence , almost beckoning the young boy for- ward. until suddenly , from within the stage , audible thumps could be heard , accompanied by rustling of the curtains. one could have assumed the heavy gusts of wind were orchestrating the movements ——
that was , however , until a large , metal hand parted the slit in the curtain , revealing an even larger metal bear. it seemed to be tinted a goldenyellow , however the dirt & grime on the ‘suit’ rendered it difficult to tell. either way , the monstrosity seemed to have a large grin e t c h e d onto its face as glowing red orbs shifted to focus on adrien. ah , yes. it had seemed the hellish carnival would soon claim yet a n o t h e r v i c t i m.
‘ hello there , young one. what are you doing wan- dering on your own at such a late hour ? ’
‘ Because I’m going to leave and your littlet r i c k s won’t stop me. ’
the beast listens intently , watching with glowing red eyes as she speaks. he’s observing her every movement , looking for any sign of a potential escape attempt. but he’s aware. aware she knows she can’t escape. she could try —— that’d just make it more F U N .
‘ ———— but my dear , we both know you can’t. truth is ———— ’
his voice is smooth , yet unnervingly low for a machine ——
‘ ———— you are my puppet. always have been , always will be. it’s pathetically simple , really. ’
& with those words , he reached out with a clawed hand , fingers ready to wrap around her damned neck before finishing his explanation ——
Another sharp chuckle, followed by the monster snapping his fingers once more. The scene before them changed suddenly —— the corridor they had been in before opened up to a seemingly endlessly long room with too many attractions to count. The quiet patter of the spiders’ feet on the ground was replaced by the laughter && screams of children as they were both ex- cited && terrified by the rides that awaited them. The coins that Muffet had snatched from his claws melted — seemingly quickly —— into nothing more than piles of dirt && dust. Metal cuffs && chains appeared around her thin ankles, tying themselves to a nearby fence that lined one of the rides.
AFTER ALL, WHAT WAS ANY AMUSEMENT PARK WITHOUT SOME DELICIOUS TREATS ??
“ Sorry, DEARIE, ”
He continued mockingly,
“But these are only NECESSARY PRE- CAUTIONS. Wouldn’t want you running away from our little SHOW, now, would we ?? “
No, no no no.
This is not what she wanted. He lied. A disgusting traitor!!
Muffet tried picking up the dirt that was once beautiful gold. She clenched her hands into fists, baring her fangs. How dare this fool betray her! She tried taking a big step ready to punch him, but the cuffs cut her off. She hissed in anger and began trying to pry them off.
* You dare make a fool out of me?! I refuse! You can’t make me do anything for you!
Where was her pet? Her spiders?! This is not going well. She was powerless. But she won’t give up, no, she won’t! This monster thinks he can outright make her his slave will not happen. Muffet continued to try to take the binds off. She got so aggravated that she began biting along with pulling on them with all six of her hands.. Her sharp fangs didn’t even put a scratch on them. Once she’s out of these cuffs, she is going to make that fat beast into dust.
“ oh, but you’re WRONG. You’ll soon see the consequences of not obeying your new ruler. “
Fredbear laughed, && with a wave of his metal hand, several of Muffet’s smaller spiders appeared on the gro- und —— only to be stomped on by the abomination who was keeping their queen captive.
“ The only way to stop this is to ac- cept your fate & get serving. “
Another laugh, followed by his eyes narrowing at the larger spider. It’s not that difficult, deary — just enjoy the sounds of screaming children being torn into pieces by me & m y co-workers “
